How We Began
J&P Autos is a family-run business that was established by my dad,
Mr. Philip Jenkins, in 1986. He got the keys to his first garage on Sloper Road the day I was born. I, Alex Jenkins, became a partner in the garage in 2014 and ran the business side by side with my dad before taking over fully in 2016.

Before I became a loyal and committed garage owner, my dad certainly put me through my paces. As a youngster, I would often be at the garage on Saturdays and during school holidays, as all I wanted to do was learn, and I just loved working on cars with my dad.
It was during those early years that I developed my passion for anything engine-related. I left school at the age of 16 and jumped straight into my mechanical apprenticeship at Land Rover. Here I gained my level 4 NVQ in light vehicle maintenance and repair.
Along the way, I have gained electrical and hybrid training with an exceptional knowledge in electrical diagnostics. Since taking over the business, I have made it my personal mission to uphold the fantastic reputation my dad worked so hard to establish, and I am honoured, as Phil's son, to carry on his legacy.
